Other Meeting Time!
Hey all,
For those of you who can't make it to the Tuesday meeting, we've got a secondary meeting time nailed down. The meetings will be on Wednesdays at 13:00 (1PM), at the same place as the Tuesday meetings: 3rd floor of the West Mall.
We'll be alternating meeting times from now on, so that this coming week will be held on a Wednesday (the 5th of October), and then the following meeting will be held on a Tuesday (the 11th). Hopefully this allows more people to come to meetings!
Also, the minutes from the first meeting are up. The meeting was fairly short and we only had time to drink one kind of tea, but we have execs elected and we'll try to get going on some events soon.

The tea we tasted today was Mom's Apple Pie, and it smells beyond delicious. It's a green tea base, which is probably my favourite kind of tea. I love it! More more more more more. All I'm missing is ice cream, right?

Meeting - 27 September 2011
Alright, finally got a first meeting time figured out!
We will be having our first meeting of the semester on Tuesday, 27 September, from 11:30 - 12:30. We will meet in the WMX 3rd Floor Atrium, which is the open space above the Tim Horton's in the West Mall.
A copy of the current agenda can be found here: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B8sN4uVcbiO-MmE0YWI5MTMtMjBhMi00NzRjLWJkMzItOWE5MzQxYjlhYjRj&hl=en
And the facebook event can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=180890958653339
Please contact us if you have anything you would like to add to the agenda. Additionally, if you are participating in the tea tasting, it would be helpful if you bring your own beverage container, since we have a limited number (about a dozen) of glass cups, and we would like to keep waste down to a minimum.
Note that we will be having elections, so if you are unable to attend and are interested in running for a position, I suggest that you set up communications through the internet, or perhaps submit a supporting statement.
Hope to see you there!

We're back!
Hello!
We're back for the Fall Semester at SFU, and our first day at Clubs Days has been amazing. A lot of people took home some tea samples, and we have over seventy-five people signed up. It's quite a change from last year and our cozy group of about eight people, so we'll see how it goes. I don't think we'll have enough cups for everyone! Good thing we're requesting a locker... We are also looking into a new meeting space, so that we don't continue to take over the Philosophy Common Room. The Logic students need their space.
Thé SFU Tea will be at Clubs Days again tomorrow, although we do not have a table reserved. Megan will be there early to try to snag a good spot, so be on the lookout. Icebat will once again make a presence as well, to promote both tea and cognitive science (woo science!). If we can get a power bar going, then we can be boiling our own water, too, so there can be on-site sampling. Mmm!
Once Clubs Days is over and a list of members has been compiled, everyone who has signed up will receive an e-mail containing a link to a Doodle, so that we can figure out when is best to meet. That will probably happen over the weekend, and there will be more details in the e-mail itself.
Special thanks to Terence for tabling today!

October 27 Meeting Minutes
Hey everyone,
The October 27 meeting minutes are now online here.
We're looking into planning a Tea Swap closer to the end of the semester. We would get together, bring tea we don't want, and swap with people for tea we'd like to try. The event would be BYOM (Bring Your Own Mug) and we'll supply hot water for tasting the teas before you trade.
We would love any feedback you may have, or suggestions for planning. You can send us an email if you have any suggestions or requests.
